The Wolf in Her Shifters of the Midnight Sun Book 1 edition by Sadie Snow Paranormal Romance eBooks
There are so many things I loved about this book! First, I loved how Sadie put a list of words known mostly to Alaskans. Second, I loved the relationship between Nick and Rachel and the pack. Third, the romance is hot. And forth, the action had me on the edge of my seat! This is a fantastic start to what seems to be an amazing new series. I hate spoilers so I won't give any, but it's safe to say this book is one of my new favorite shifter books. I can't wait to read what Sadie Snow comes up with for book two!! I hope you enjoy it as my h as I did, I have a feeling you will.Product details

Wow you will love this exciting, suspenseful, sweet, funny, and steamy hot five star plus book!.
Things I enjoyed
- The heroine (Rebecca) wasn't a wimp, she was strong and a great leading lady.
- The hero (Nick) was a total bada$$, faithful and romantic.
- I didn't notice too many errors/inconsistencies. One that comes to mind was at first introductions Nicks twin brothers are described as being larger than him, later Nick is described as being larger. Not a big deal just something I noticed.
- The story itself, the plot was really good, quick run down
(Depending on how you look at it, there might be a spoiler or two here but I really tried not to)
Rebecca, a police dispatcher has no family, her Mother having died when she was an infant and her Grandmother having passed away the previous summer. She has colleagues and friends so she isn't alone, just lonely.
Coming home from work one night she finds two unusually large wolves fighting in her yard. After the fight the winner approaches her, she stumbles and hits her head falling unconscious.
Nick, the winning wolf takes her to a safe place temporarily and then moving her to a safe house of sorts shortly after another wolf approaches and attempts to attack them.
During this time we learn that Nick is a wolf shifter, Rebecca is also special and because of this another pack is after her.
In addition to Nicks brother's we meet a bear shifter, a raven shifter, moose and a fox shifter during the story.
The story has loads of action/adventure, with some twists and turns it builds up to a very "epic" conclusion. Nick and Rebecca get their happily ever after and there is no cliffhanger.
Things I didn't care for
- When Nick, a wolf shifter suddenly appears in Rebecca's life she has no clue shifters exist yet she barely questions anything. Yes, maybe because she's special she senses it? To me it felt rushed and didn't sit right.
- The bear shifter "lifestyle" in this particular authors world totally rubs me wrong as a romance reader. I love bear shifter books so it was disappointing that in this world they can't be faithful. I was also let down by the bear shifters supposed love interest for (despite what she says) being cool with the arrangement. It makes her seem weak and it's hard to respect her.
Final thoughts
I think Sadie is very talented. Her story had vivid characters, enough action to be entertaining but not so much that it steered to far off course. The romance and connection between the hero and heroine was totally insta-love but that's one of the best parts about shifter books, they find their mate and they just KNOW.
Sadie gave enough info about supporting characters to leave herself open for continuing the series and while I didn't care for the bear/fox "situation" this is just my opinion, you could totally read this and feel the opposite about bear life and be totally unperturbed.
I hope Sadie continues her series, I am very curious to see where the story goes and can't wait to read the next installment. While my star rating this time is in the middle I'm just one opinion and I encourage you to read it for yourself if it sounds like something you'd like.
Shifter romance. I wasn't able to get into the story
A little confusing in the beginning but it picked up quick and then I couldn't put it down. We will have to see what happens next
I read "The Wolf In Her" straight through in one sitting! It was a moving story of betrayal and healing love! Friends giving their lives for what was right! Hope to read more of Rachel and Nicks pack!
I clicked 4 stars rather than 3 because maybe it was just me but I couldn't connect with the characters. Everything moves fast in this book so if you are not a fan of insta love and the immediate acceptance of the previously unknown fact of shifters this is not the book for you.
Didn't really grab my attention. The writing could have been better. Somewhat slow paced and written in such a way the cadence and flow was frustrating at times. I am an avid reader and have no problem understanding an authors intent for the story line as a rule. This just left me feeling as though this was probably from an author without much experience. Lot's of typos and grammatical errors as well.
I hope you enjoy it as my h as I did, I have a feeling you will.
